Hitting Instruction

When it comes to teaching hitting, Don Slaught, former MLB player with the Pittsburgh Pirates and hitting coach of the 2006 AL Champion Detroit Tigers, just may be the best in the business. His knowledge of hitting mechanics is astounding and, perhaps more importantly, he makes it easy to understand. Slaught’s company, rightviewpro.com, makes the motion analysis software that is used by many Division 1 college baseball programs. You won’t find any better hitting information.

This is good stuff. Watch them over and over again. The 6th one down (the decision to swing) is my favorite.

Pitching Instruction

You’ll find a common theme with Paul Reddick’s videos about how to throw certain pitches: it’s all about arm angle, not grip and it’s definitely not about twist or snap. Reddick is a disciple of, and co-wrote a book with, pitching guru Tom House. This is very good stuff, so pay attention.
